From the small town of Örnsköldsvik, Fenix Outdoor has expanded to every corner of the world. The fundamental idea of the company remains the same: To provide functional, durable, and timeless equipment that makes the outdoors more enjoyable for all. We continue to find smart, innovative solutions to make every adventure unforgettable.

The journey of Fenix Outdoor
Fjällräven
The first seed to what would later become the foundation for the Fenix Outdoor Group was planted already back in 1960 by Åke Nordin.
Fjällräven is Swedish for Arctic Fox, honoring the small and highly adaptable predator that lives in the Swedish mountains under the harshest conditions. Since the start Fjällräven has developed timeless, functional and sustainable outdoor equipment and are committed to making nature more accessible to all.

Naturkompaniet
The history of Naturkompaniet dates back to 1931 and the Swedish scout movement.
Today, Naturkompaniet is Sweden's leading player in the sale of products for outdoor life and travel. Naturkompaniet's mission is to make everyday life an adventure. Nature is a way to feel well and unwind. A place to hang out and feel free. We want to inspire more people to discover nature, experience magnificent environments and create unforgettable memories.
Naturkompanier became part of the Fenix Outdoor Group in 2001.

Tierra
Since 1983 Tierra have engineered clothes that keep the users dry, warm and comfortable for freedom to experience nature whatever the conditions.
Tierra's mission is to develop technical clothes for the long run, by finding
materials and solutions that are sustainable both for us users and the planet. So we can stay out, longer. Forever.
Tierra became part of the Fenix Outdoor Group in 2001.
Hanwag
From 1921 to this day, Hanwag stands for traditional handcrafted workmanship combined with technical expertise, continuous innovation, durability and tradition. For nearly 100 years, we have been making high-quality, functional mountaineering and trekking footwear at our headquarters in Vierkirchen near Munich. Together with experienced professional athletes – alpinists, trekkers and mountain guides – our shoe designers and developers create innovative footwear for outdoor use that is perfected down to the smallest detail.
Hanwag became part of the Fenix Outdoor Group in 2004.

Partioaitta
Partioaitta was founded in 1928 by the Finnish scout movement and is Finland's leading outdoor retail chain. The chain is a merger of various scout associations' stores and has since the start provided its customers with quality equipment for forests, mountains and wilderness.
Partioaitta became part of the Fenix Outdoor Group in 2011.

Globetrotter
In September 1979 the survival experts Klaus Denart and Peter Lechhart opened Northern Germany's first specialty store for expeditions, safaris and hiking in Hamburg. With the founders' experience as a base, Globetrotter quickly established itself as a leading store for an active outdoor life. The number of stores have grown since and today Globetrotter is established with 10+ stores and employs approximately 1200 people.
Globetrotter became part of Fenix Outdoor in 2015.

Friluftsland
Friluftsland's specialty is equipment and clothing for an active outdoor life. Friluftsland only selects high-quality products, which are imported from the best manufacturers around the world.
All employees at Friluftsland have their own experience of outdoor life and thus have the competence to give good advice and the right guidance.
Friluftsland became part of Fenix Outdoor in 2017.
