Repair Center Supervisor – Outdoor Apparel & Gear

As our Repair Center Supervisor, you’ll lead a skilled team of repair specialists in restoring outdoor jackets, technical packs, and apparel to like-new condition. This is a unique opportunity to combine leadership, craftsmanship, and sustainability in one purpose-driven role.
This is a full-time, hourly position based in Aurora, CO with a salary range of $23.00-$24.00 per hour.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You’ll oversee day-to-day operations at our in-house Repair Center, providing leadership, training, and quality oversight to ensure consistent, durable repairs that align with Fjällräven’s high standards. You'll also play a vital role in supporting our circularity initiatives, including our Pre-Loved program.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor a team of three sewing/repair and warranty specialists
- Provide hands-on training in technical apparel repair techniques, including patching, alterations, and zipper replacement
- Foster a culture of collaboration, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement
Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee repair workflows and daily production targets
- Maintain inventory of sewing supplies, branded components, and repair tools
- Place material orders (thread, zippers, patches, labels, etc.) and schedule machine maintenance
- Evaluate and process items for the Pre-Loved resale program, including photography and condition tagging
- Track and report on productivity, workflows, and operational efficiency
Craftsmanship & Quality Control
- Perform and review complex garment repairs, including zipper replacements, patching, and mending, ensuring all work meets Fenix Outdoor’s brand standards
- Ensure brand consistency in durability, appearance, and function
- Maintain industrial sewing equipment and troubleshoot basic issues to minimize downtime
- Uphold safety and quality standards in all repair processes
Cross-Team Collaboration & Sustainability
- Partner with the Warranty, Retail, and Customer Experience teams to ensure efficient repair service delivery
- Support the implementation of circular economy practices in all repair operations
- Act as a brand ambassador for sustainability in product care and gear longevity
WHO YOU ARE
Experience and Technical Skills
- Two or more years of experience supervising and teaching teams of 3+ employees (preferred)
- Strong technical expertise in apparel repair, including zipper replacement, patching, and mending
- Proficiency with industrial sewing machines, sergers, and high-heat tools
- Experience with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Experience with Zendesk is a plus
- Proficient in English language and basic math
Traits and Attributes
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience tracking productivity and workflows
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across multiple teams and locations
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
